About me

Before I ever started Clowe Captures, I spent 10 years working in television news. For four of those years, I was a reporter at the local CBS station here in Tampa. Journalism taught me how to tell a story, connect with people, work under pressure, and most importantly, find the moments that truly matter.

What many people don’t know is that as a reporter, I didn’t just stand in front of the camera. I spent years behind it – shooting and editing my own stories that would eventually air on television. I fell in love with the creative side of storytelling—the camera, the editing and the ability to turn real moments into something people could see, feel and remember.

In 2024, after having my son, Roland, I returned to the newsroom and quickly realized that the demanding hours of television news wouldn’t allow me to have the family life I wanted. It was a difficult decision, but it also led me to something exciting: taking the skills and passion I had spent years developing and building something of my own.

That’s how Clowe Captures was born.

Since starting my business, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph and film so many different chapters of people’s lives—from family portraits and headshots to weddings, birthday parties, events, real estate, and work with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Every experience has helped shape the photographer I am today.

While I love all of the work I get to do, my heart is especially drawn to weddings and family photography. There’s something incredibly special about being invited into such meaningful moments in someone’s life.

I’m also a wife and a mom to two children. Being a mom has given me an even greater appreciation for how quickly life changes and how fast our little ones grow. It’s a big part of why I believe so strongly in preserving the moments that might otherwise pass by too quickly.

Photography, for me, is storytelling in a different form.

After spending 10 years telling other people’s stories, I’m grateful that I now get to help you tell yours.
